Many people recognize the value of public speaking skills when it comes to formal presentations, but Team NOVA Marketing considers these skills to be leadership competencies with many benefits. For instance, our fourth quarter is packed with many travel opportunities. We’ll be heading to Los Angeles, California, Phoenix, Arizona, and Austin, Texas – just to name a few of the cities on our Q4 tour. While we’re there, we plan on meeting up with like-minded business leaders to share our knowledge and experiences with.
While we don’t know exactly who we’ll meet yet, one thing’s for sure: because we’ve made public speaking a part of our NOVA Marketing training program, we know we’ll make a great impression. We don’t need an audience of 500 to employ our speaking skills: an audience of five is fine. It’s the confidence to stand up in front of 500 people that matters, and once we’ve achieved that, we’re sure to wow a small group of our peers.
Another advantage of knowing how to address listeners is the chance to champion a worthy cause. Our peer-to-peer fundraising approach requires more than just a pitch; we’re on the front line of positive change, making the connections and forging the relationships that will change lives for the better.
